Tony Winner James Corden Joins Starry Cast of Can a Song Save Your Life? Movie

Fresh off his Tony win, One Man Two Guvnors star James Corden is set to join the cast of Can a Song Save Your Life?, according to Deadline.com. Directed by John Carney (who helmed the original Once film), the movie also features Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld and Adam Levine. 

Can a Song Save Your Life? tells the story of Gretta (Knightley) and her longtime boyfriend (Levine), who move to New York to pursue their passion for music. Gretta's boyfriend however soon dumps her for the fame and fortune of a big solo contract. When a down-on-his-luck record producer (Ruffalo) stumbles upon Gretta singing in a local bar, he is immediately captivated by her raw talent and inspiring authenticity. Corden will play Gretta's close friend.

Corden has previously appeared on Broadway in The History Boys. He is also set to star and co-write the upcoming film One Chance, a biopic about Britian's Got Talent winner Paul Potts. Corden is also the star and creator of the popular U.K. TV series Gavin & Stacey.
